Description

4 Days/ 3 Nights

Day 01 – Arrival in Udaipur

Meet our representative upon arrival in Udaipur – popular for fantastical palaces, temples, havelis and countless narrow and colourful streets add the human counterpoint to the city’s natural charms. If Jaipur is the pink city and Jodhpur the blue, Udaipur is the city of lakes. The elevated aravalli hills and the beautiful lakes make a picture-perfect backdrop to the Udaipur city. Proceed to hotel for check-in. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 02 – Sightseeing in Udaipur

After breakfast, proceed for full-day tour of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace, standing on the east bank of Lake Pichola. The complex is a massive series of palaces built at different times from 1559. The balconies of the palace provide panoramic views of the Lake Palace Hotel and Jag Mandir on one side, and the city of Udaipur on the other. The paintings, mosaics, intricately carved ‘chhatris’ and the architecturally brilliant facade all contribute to making your visit to the City Palace a truly memorable experience. Thereafter, visit a picturesque garden, Sahelion ki Bari. You will visit also visit Jagdish Temple, which is raised on a tall terrace and was completed in 1651. It attaches a double-storey Mandapa (hall) to a double-storey saandhara (with a covered ambulatory) sanctum. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola, which is an artificial fresh water lake, created in the year 1362 AD (Depending upon the water level of lake). Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 03 – Full day Excursion to Ranakpur & Kumbhalgarh

After breakfast, visit Ranakpur (90 km / approx. 2 hours). Renowned for some marvelously carved Jain temples in amber stone, Ranakpur is one of the five holiest places of the Jain community and exceptional in beauty. The main temple was built during the reign of the Rajput monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty- four pillared halls and domes supported by over four hundred columns. The total number of columns is 1,444 , all of which are intricately carved with no two being alike. One kilometer away from the temple complex is the temple of Amba Mata. In the late afternoon visit Kumbhalgarh Fort (55 km/ approx. 1.5 hours), which is considered to be the pride of the Mewar Empire. The thick wall around the fort stretches 36 kms. Many call this fort as the Indian equivalent of the Great Wall of China. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 04 – Departure from Udaipur

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Udaipur airport for a return flight back home.
