9 Days/ 8 Nights

Day 1: Helsinki:

Arrival in Helsinki. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day to familiarize yourself with thissplendid city. Overnight in Helsinki.

Day 2:Helsinki – Stockholm:

After breakfast, in the morning go on a sightseeing tour of Helsinki duringwhich you will see the historical center and the diplomatic quarters, the Presidential Palace, City Hall, theParliament Buildings, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. Stops at Senate Square, the Sibelius Monumentand at the Temppeliaukio Church in the rocks. The tour ends in the city centre. In the early afternoon it is timeto board the ferry for the crossing to Stockholm. Enjoy a Scandinavian buffet dinner on the ship. After dinneryou can dance the night away in the nightclub, linger in the various shops, or enjoy the scenery.Accommodation on board in comfortable 2-berth cabins. (B, D)

Day 3: Stockholm:

Enjoy a breakfast before arriving in Stockholm, but make sure to be out on deck as theship sails into the beautiful Stockholm harbour. With its 24000 islands, the Stockholm archipelago is quiteunique. Disembark in Stockholm and go to your hotel to check in. Rest of the day free to familiarize yourselfwith Stockholm City. Overnight in Stockholm. (B)

Day 4: Stockholm:

After breakfast, go for a sightseeing tour. Stockholm is often called the “Beauty on Water”,being built on 14 islands. See the City Hall (outside), constructed in the National Romantic style where eachyear on December 10th the Nobel price banquette takes place. See the Old Town, which is in direct contrastwith today’s modern city centre. The rest of the afternoon is free to wander around on your own. You have timeto visit the Vasa ship museum to see the warship Vasa – the only remaining, intact 17th century ship in theworld. Overnight in Stockholm. (B)

Day 5: Stockholm – Oslo:

After breakfast go to the railway station and take a train from Stockholm to Oslo.After arrival in Oslo, go to the hotel and check in. Rest of the day to familiarize yourself with Oslo city.Overnight in Oslo. (B)

Day 6:Olso – Gothenburg:

After breakfast go on a sightseeing tour of Oslo. On this tour you can experience;downtown Oslo, Vigeland Sculpture Park, Holmenkollen ski jump and a museum. In the afternoon, you willtravel by a comfortable bus from Oslo to Gothenburg. Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden.Overnight in Gothenburg. (B)

Day 7:Gothenburg – Copenhagen:

After breakfast at the hotel you will go on a sightseeing tour to learnmore about this friendly city, founded in the 17th century. In the 18th century the city became rich because ofthe East India Company ´s trading with India and China. Gothenburg is today the seat for multinational companies like Volvo, Astra-Zeneca and SKF. Gothenburg is also Scandinavia’s biggest port and has a livelyfish-harbour. In the afternoon you will travel by train or bus from Gothenburg to Copenhagen. You will travelalong the beautiful Swedish west coast and pass many small towns. From Malmö in Sweden you drive overthe long Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen on the Danish side. Overnight in Copenhagen. Day 8: Copenhagen:

After breakfast go on a sightseeing tour of Copenhagen. On the tour you pass by theTivoli Gardens and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Drive past the National Museum and past ChristiansborgPalace, home to the Danish Parliament. Continue on to The Old Stock Exchange and across Kongens Nytorv,where you will see the Royal Theatre, world famous for its Royal Ballet. The tour continues past the colourfulharbour district of Nyhavn to Amalienborg Palace – winter residence of the Royal Family. Here you have theopportunity of seeing the changing of the Danish Royal Guard. This is followed by a visit to the GefionFountain and The Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy-tale. During the tour you will paya visit to one of the many magnificent churches in Copenhagen as well as passing by Rosenborg Castle,where the Crown Jewels are protected by the Royal Guard. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight inCopenhagen. (B)

Day 9: Copenhagen:

After breakfast. Today it is time to say goodbye to Scandinavia and fly home. (B)
